"SUPER•BALL" - New Works from the Exhibition: Triptychs
These triptychs were new to the project for the show in Pittsburgh. The original photographs - though beautiful - did not accurately show the relative sizes of the balls under that act of compression. In these we show 3 consecutive frames (at 2800fps), showing the moment just prior to impact, the moment of impact, and the moment of full compression. That way we were able to reflect the physical change the ball goes through under that force.
We hope you find them both illuminating intellectually, but also compelling visually.
