SLIDELUCK 2nd Annual Fundraiser

Founder Henry J. Simonds was proud to have a piece (SJ1-PR, 2011) featured in the silent auction at this year's Slideluck Potshow Annual Fundraiser.  Featuring several dozen works, including those of Patrick McMullen, Spencer Tunick, and Shepard Fairey, the annual event and auction raises money to support Slideluck's event programming and educational initiatives.

Check the links here for the auction items and for future Slideluck Potshow events.

Hypersphaerae in Space!

Requiem lives on!

Two of the photographs from the show were included in a short exhibition at the Charles Bank Gallery last week.  The show, Celestial Matters, included works that had been in space as well as those inspired by the final frontier.

Buzz Aldrin was in attendance at the grand event on Oct. 14th.

Check out these links for more info on the show and the presenting org.

Sony Bravia - Sphaeralogical Bliss!

Nothing captures the elegance and wonder of the Super Ball© like this Sony Bravia commercial.  250,000 bouncy balls dropped down the streets of San Francisco.  It is mesmerizing and beautiful!

Enjoy.

The I.S.S. Presents "Requiem for the Super Ball©" The Jewelry Collection

Hey Folks,

In the interest of further promoting the Super Ball© and our efforts here at the I.S.S., we are introducing a unique collection of jewelry and trinkets made from authentic bouncy balls.  Hand made by Founder and Chief Sphaeralogist, Henry J. Simonds, the rings, earrings and keychains are currently available at Charles Bank Gallery and by request through sphaeralogy.org.

We hope to be selling the pieces at crafter fairs and museum stores in the near future - any ideas would be welcome - but in the meantime, check out the photos here and get your own limited edition RftSB© pieces.

Sincerely,

The Founders
